Granada’s Albaicín

Granada · The Design · Final Piece

My client recently got engaged in Granada and studied abroad there. I also had the pleasure of visiting Granada so I was really excited to take this project on.

Granada, Spain

Granada is full of yummy tapas, chill vibes and Arabic influence, especially the Albaicín. Tucked away on a hill, the Albaicín has a serenity to it with the cobblestone roads and white houses with flower pots. I knew with the white setting this would be a great black and white piece with a pop of color.

The Design

To stay true to the neighborhood, I made sure there were tiles and the iconic flower pots hanging on the house. To make the flowers not seem they were floating in space, I added window “cages” to ground them. The flowers were also a perfect splash of color representing Granada.
